Housebuilder supports local charity with trike sponsorship

28th April 2026

Spokes for Folks sponsorship

Local homebuilder, Tulloch Homes, part of the Springfield Group, has supported Inverness based charity, Spokes for Folks for the fourth consecutive year.

The charity, which offers free sociable trike rides for the elderly and those with limited mobility, is based near the Tulloch homes development, the Maples in Ness side.

Established in 2017 with just two trikes and a handful of passengers, Spokes for Folks has grown significantly and now operates eight trikes – including two specially adapted wheelchair trikes. The group supports 30 client organisations, including care homes and adults with additional support needs, and runs rides Monday to Friday – sometimes up to three times a day.

The charity is powered by around 60 volunteer pilots, with between 35 and 45 out riding each week.

Over a 12 month period, each trike costs approximately £200 to maintain. Tulloch Homes has once again supported the group by covering the costs for one of their trikes.

Tulloch Homes Managing Director, Kieran Graham said:

“Spokes for Folks is a charity that we have admired for a number of years, and we are pleased to once again offer our support to this organisation. They help combat isolation in a sustainable and fun way. Their sociable trike rides take members of our community on tours of our beautiful city and encourage them out into the fresh air.”

Vonnie Stevenson, Fundraiser & Committee Member at Spokes for Folks added:

“Like most charities, we heavily rely on funding and donations from local businesses like this one from Tulloch Homes. We’re hugely grateful for their continued support, and we see first-hand the positive impact our sociable trike rides can have on individuals.

“If you would like to support our group financially or by volunteering, or would like more information, please contact enquiries.spokesforfolkes@gmail.com.”
