Tulloch supports local charities for Christmas with £1,000 donation
22nd December 2025
Highland homebuilders, Tulloch Homes, part of the Springfield Group, has donated £1,000 to local charities following nominations from residents within the Maples community as part of their Christmas Cheer campaign.
Residents who live at the Maples development off Dores Road in Ness Side were invited to submit nominations of charities that were meaningful to them.
The initiative was also rolled out to other Springfield Group developments in Dundee, Moray and Perth which saw over 30 nominations and has led to £3,500 worth of donations.
At the Maples, Highland and Islands Blood Bikes and L’Arche Highland have been selected to each receive a £500 donation.
Highland and Islands Blood Bikes was a particularly popular nomination from the community as the organisation, funded solely by donations, is entirely run by volunteers, two of whom live at the Maples development.
The charity provides a free, urgent transport service for NHS Highland, delivering blood samples, medication, and lifesaving support across the region 365 days a year. With around 100 volunteers covering routes from Wick to Campbeltown, the team collectively travels over 10,000 miles every month in support of NHS services.
Gordon Scott moved into the Maples in 2021 and has been a proud volunteer of Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes for over 3 years. He said:
“Highlands and Islands Blood Bikes plays a vital role in supporting NHS Highland and local communities by ensuring urgent medical items reach where they are needed as quickly as possible. As a volunteer, it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that makes such a real difference across our region. Donations like this help us keep our vehicles on the road and allow us to continue providing this essential service free of charge.”
L’Arche Highland, a local charity that support those with learning disabilities in Inverness, was also nominated by a resident at the Maples. They have been in operation for 50 years and are currently supporting 130 in the area.

Christopher Gehrke, Head of Operations for L’Arche in Scotland said: “For 50 years in Inverness, L’Arche has sought to create a community of adults with, and without, learning disabilities. Resources are very constrained at the moment, so we in L’Arche Highland are grateful for the Springfield Group’s gift of £500 as part of the Christmas Cheer Campaign.”
This is the second year the home builders, who this year are celebrating 100 years in business, have launched their Christmas campaign. Tulloch Homes Managing Director, Kieran Graham, added:
“We’re proud to support charities that help and support the people in the communities where we are developing new homes – particularly at this time of year. Our Christmas Cheer campaign is a great way to capture causes that are impactful to our customers and that make a real difference in our community.
“We are pleased to have supported two brilliant Highland charities and give something back this Christmas.”
