The acclaimed Scottish Home Awards shortlist has been announced, and three Inverness developments built by local builders, Springfield Properties and Tulloch Homes are among finalists.

The homebuilders, part of the Springfield Group, proudly represent the Highlands, and these shortlisted developments are the only finalists from the region in each of the highly contested categories.

Within the Housing Development of the Year (Large) category, the Tulloch Homes Maples at Ness Side development is among 13 developments to be in with a chance of securing the title. Located just off Dores Road, the 750 home development includes a mix of high quality, energy efficient homes across a range of tenures. Already home to around 150 families, there is a thriving community underway here that benefits from a scenic location alongside the River Ness.

Tulloch Homes, The Maples, Inverness

Just around the corner is Drummond Hill, an exclusive Tulloch Homes development with just 37 homes that features the restoration of the Cherry Tree House, the historic Gatehouse of the site, and the upcoming sensitive conversion of the mansion house into six luxury apartments. Cherry Tree House is a grade B listed home that Tulloch has restored and extended to create an exceptional, unique home to suit modern family needs. This home caught the judge’s attention and is in the running of Renovation of the Year.

These shortlists come in a special year for Tulloch as they celebrate their 100th year in business.

Springfield Properties, Drakies

Springfield is also in the shortlist for securing a win for Inverness, with their Drakies development which is in with a chance of being crowned Housing Development of the Year (Small).
