Sandy is the grandson of the founder of Springfield, transforming the once market garden to a home builder in the 1990s. Now a proud grandad himself, he continues to lead the business in his role as Chairman.
Sandy has been the driver behind key commercial decisions enabling the successful growth of Springfield. This includes the focus on affordable housing since 2004, the geographic expansion out of Moray with the acquisitions of five home building businesses since 2011 and the listing of Springfield Properties on AIM in 2017.
With his farming background, Sandy is happiest in a field working with local landowners on new plans for the future.
Sandy has spent his entire life living in Moray and is proud of the economic development he has been able to support across the region. A key moment in his career was the opening of Moray Sports Centre in Elgin in 2019 – a culmination of years of work for him and the rest of the charity that runs the facility.
