Iain Logan

With over two decades of financial leadership experience, Iain joined Springfield in 2020 as Group Financial Controller, bringing with him a strong track record from both PLC and privately owned businesses.

His early career began at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edinburgh, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002.

Iain went on to spend eight years with Murray International Holdings Limited, gaining extensive corporate finance experience across acquisitions, disposals and fundraising within its investment company. He also served as Financial Controller for its residential and property development arm, building an early connection to the sector he would later return to.

He then spent nine years as Group Financial Controller of Omega Diagnostics PLC, overseeing all financial reporting and leading finance teams around the world. These years strengthened his technical expertise and his belief in the importance of developing people and creating supportive, open working cultures.

Since joining Springfield, Iain’s career has continued to progress. Promoted to Finance Director in 2021, he led all aspects of the Group’s financial operations and built strong, trusted relationships with external stakeholders. He played a central role in Springfield’s major acquisitions of Tulloch Homes in 2021 and Mactaggart & Mickel Homes in 2022, contributing to key milestones in the company’s growth story.

Iain was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2023 – a proud moment in his career and something he credits to hard work and the support of colleagues within Springfield’s open, people-focused culture. Iain believes strongly in encouragement as the foundation of good leadership, helping teams do their best work and feel connected to the company’s goals.

Away from the office, family is firmly at the centre of Iain’s life. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the national rugby team and a SRU season ticket holder. He has recently taken up golf again, rediscovering a hobby he enjoyed in his younger years.
