Named WhatHouse? Best Sustainable Development and Scottish Home Awards' Development of the Year 2022, Bertha Park is home to many things. It includes a Microsoft Flagship high school, one of just 17 in the world. It’s home to a destination play park with climbing walls, accessible roundabout and everyone’s favourite, swings. It’s home to a beautiful SUDs pond that’s won awards for its blue green infrastructure and biodiversity. It’s home to a local convenience store, community hub, has its own bus route and connects to the wider area with walking and cycle routes. And, perhaps most importantly, it’s home to a wide range of housing across multiple tenures.

Bertha Park is the first new-build village in Scotland to offer homes of all tenures and once complete, will include 3,000 homes, 25% of which will be affordable housing.

Springfield has a dedicated Community Engagement Co-ordinator whose primary focus is to ensure our residents, regardless of tenure, feel part of their neighbourhood. Drumming up community spirit through a variety of activities and updates through quarterly newsletters, Megan works with the community on tackling more practical things that affect their daily lives such as littering and the provision of grit bins.
