Tree planting at Dykes of Gray village

Residents at our award-winning Dykes of Gray Village in Dundee, reached out to our Community Engagement Co-ordinator for support in arranging a tree planting event.

Working in partnership with The Woodland Trust, the residents wanted to plant over 400 saplings across 11 different species to create a community woodland.

Springfield happily identified a piece of suitable land and gifted it to the community for this purpose. We also supported the tree planting event itself by inviting the community to attend, arranged for commemorative medals and refreshments from a local coffee van on the day of planting.

Now, nearly a year on, the trees are thriving, and the residents are keen to make tree or bulb planting an annual community event.
