Quantity Surveyor

The Springfield Group are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Elgin. This full-time role is primarily office-based working 37.5 hours per week, with regular travel to site required. It’s an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Group across multiple site locations.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our Commercial team, you will:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day financial control of a variety of projects.
• Be responsible for sub contract procurement and management.
• Be required to produce development appraisals, budgets, valuations and cost to complete whilst meeting monthly reporting timetables.
• Work on ongoing Partnership contracts with Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified to SCQF Level 9 or above in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction sector.
• A strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Outstanding commercial acumen.
• Due to the nature of the role and the site locations involved, a full UK driving licence is essential.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in new home-building.
• Experience in Partnership contracts with Local Authorities and/or Registered Social Landlords.
